A closed beta for the playstation game Gran Turismo Sport, has been officially announced. Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi said that the closed beta will begin on March 17.
Beta participants will get a sneak peek at how Gran Turismo will pave the future of racing, competing in highly competitive races against other users across the country, and eventually, across the globe.
New selection of cars and tracks will be made available on a daily basis. Different race class categories and course configurations will present a lot of diffcult scenarios to test the skills of the gamers. Players who choose GT Sport beta will get to experience the new Driver Profile system, which introduces a “Sportsmanship Rating”. This system will track the player’s “behavior and manners” attributes on the track. It also includes the Driver Rating, which takes speed and performance statistics into consideration.
Yamauchi further explained,
During the initial phase, our servers will be open for users during specific times across the day. We will share these times closer to the beta launch across our social channels and GT.com
