This week, Halo Wars 2 was launched on the Xbox one and PC. Developers 343 Industries and Creative Assembly are looking to provide extra content and support in the upcoming weeks.
In a blog post, 343 stated that the game will be getting a DLC. New content will be available to the players on every third wednesday of a month, starting this March. More leaders, units and campaign missions will be arriving to Halo Wars 2. One of the leaders is already revealed as Kinsano.
However, the immediate updates will address issues that have been reported since the launch. This is the right move from the developers, while the new content can wait. In fact, no one is going to care about the new content, if the existing one has many issues. Some of these problems are known already, like the case of online connectivity, latency, and performance issues. So, 343 made the right call of attending to them first before releasing new content.
A large patch will be coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 next week. It’ll include several fixes and improvements and the patch notes will be detailed on a later date. Apart from the technical issues stated above, there is a bug which doesn’t apply the XP gained for completing an objective. Hence, 343 will be looking to patch this bug too along with the rest.
The team is on the lookout for more feedback and reports from the players, concerning more bugs and issues. If you encounter any of them in the game, you can report it to the Halo commnunity.
