Yesterday, Gamespot had an earnings call with EA and the latter revealed some information on the upcoming Star Wars:Battlefront sequel.
The CEO Andrew Wilson affirmed that the game will be coming out later this year. He claimed the sequel to be much bigger than the 2015 original, with the inclusion of new features, locations and characters. The game will also be having a single player campaign this time.
In addition to that, Wilson said the game will feature content from multiple star wars eras. He went on to point out “The Force Awakens” and “Rogue One” as the movies that helped expand the game series. Though he didn’t make an outright reveal, Battlefront 2 might feature characters from either or both of these movies.
The original Battlefront already features content from Rogue One through the Rogue One: Scarif expansion. This expansion pack includes Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic characters and maps set on the planet Scarif.
With that being said, we can expect a lot of movie content coming to the gaming platform with Battlefront 2.
